We collect three kinds of information from visitors to this site: feedback (from our feedback form), advice session information (from our email advice form) and site usage information (from cookies and log files). 1/ Advice Session Information We collect only nformation you complete when using the advice session form. This includes personal details such as your name and address so that we can respond to you, and statistical information such as age and ethnicity. If you contact us asking for information, we may need to contact other agencies to find that information. We do not pass on any of your personal information when dealing with your enquiry. Once we have replied to you, we keep a record of your messages for reference and audit purposes in secure sites. This information may be kept for upto 12 year dependent on government audit requirements linked to the funding that makes this service available. 2/ Feedback If you send an email using our feedback form, we do not pass on any of your personal information. Once we have replied to you, we keep a record of your messages for six months for reference and audit purposes, after which it is deleted. 3/ Site usage information a) Cookies Cookies are pieces of data that are often created when you visit a website, and which are stored in the cookie directory of your computer. The cookies do not contain any personal information about you, and they cannot be used to identify an individual user. You can set your browser not to accept cookies if you prefer. b) Log files Log files allow us to record visitors' use of the site. We analyse log file information from all our visitors, which we use to make changes to the layout of the site and to the information in it, based on the way that visitors move around it. Log files do not contain any personal information and they are not used to identify any individual patterns of use of the site.
